The Land of Stories series was launched in 2012 with The Wishing Spell, which the 27-year-old actor wrote during the last season of Glee.

Wishing Spell tells the story of Alex and Conner Bailey, a pair of twins who are transported into a magic book following the loss of their father. In this new world, the siblings come face-to-face with characters from all the classic fairy tales they read growing up and must fight dark forces to make it back home.

The book was an instant hit, topping the New York Times bestseller list for two weeks. From there, The Land of Stories series grew to include novels, audiobooks, illustrated picture books and an upcoming graphic novel.
