We live in an age where love knows no bounds, and age is just a number, but there’s still something extra creepy about old guys doing racy scenes with much younger women…or girls for that matter.
“Pretty Baby” (1978) and “Lolita” (1962) were early cringe worthy films with story lines showcasing older men’s naughty infatuations with child girls.
Since then, there have been plenty more films that feature wide age-gaps between romantic leads, but on slightly more acceptable terms. Still can’t say though that these types of movies are the best for date night.
Have you seen “Something’s Gotta Give? (2006)” Jack Nicholson plays a music mogul who only dates women under 30. In the film, Nicholson’s shares a scene with romantic interest, Amanda Peet, who is a whopping 34 years younger than him.
CHECK THIS: Twenty-one of the most beloved movies that the critics hated
If you think that’s a major age discrepancy, have you ever heard of a movie called “Entrapment”? The stars of the 1999 film, who have romantic feelings for each other are Catherine Zeta Jones and Sean Connery. There are thirty-nine years between these co-stars- that’s nearly encroaching into grandpa territory.
Now, this space isn’t just reserved for really old guys who get to co-star alongside women half their age. In the 2003 film, “The Mother,” a widowed grandmother, played by Anne Reid finds herself involved in a love triangle with a man half her age…who also happened to be Daniel Craig. The two even had a sex scene. In real life, the co-stars are 32 years apart.

And be sure to check out the gallery above to see the movies that have large, and somewhat uncomfortable age gaps between the romantic leads.
